Competition Terms & Conditions:

• Entry to the competition is only open to UK & Ireland children who are of Primary School / Nursery age.
• Entry to the competition must be made by a parent/guardian on behalf of their child.
• Entries may be submitted via private message on our Facebook or Instagram channel. A photo of the entry must be clear for us to evaluate properly. You can also scan the image and email your entry to info@playzeez.com, with the email title "Playzeez Design a Backpack Competition." We will also accept entries via post to: Playzeez, 48A Liscall Road, Garvagh, County Derry/Londonderry, BT51 5ER. We can not be held responsible for late or lost entries via post. The design we pick as the winner may be required in order for us to use for developing the product. We will return any designs we require once we have finished developing the backpack.
• All entries should respond directly to the challenge – to design a new Playzeez Character. This does not necessarily have to be an animal. The competition is open to all sorts of creatures, we want them to have lots of fun and be as creative as possible. Check out our current designs for some inspiration for features.
• Submitting an entry to the competition indicates acceptance of our terms and conditions.
• The competition is open for entries from Monday 20th April 2020. The deadline for submitting entries is Sunday 7th June 2020.
• Parents/Guardians can submit as many entries as they wish.
• Original artwork designs should be on our A4 template page. This can be downloaded from our website competition page. Designs must be in colour – colouring pencils, paint, crayons and felt tips can all be used. Kids can also use additional materials (like tinsel, glitter or sequins) on their entry.
• Entries will be judged on their artistic merits (taking into consideration and age) and creative responses to the requirement to design a new fun and exciting character to add to our Playzeez family.
• Our team will shortlist the entries down to 10. These will be narrowed down to 3 and then we will pick our 1st place winner.
• The judges decisions will be final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Winning entrants will be notified via their parent/guardian within two weeks of the closing date.
• The winners will receive the following:
o 1st - Their design produced for them to keep.
o 2nd & 3rd - A Playzeez character backpack of their choice.
o 4th to 10th - A 30% discount voucher to be used at www.playzeez.com
• The design of the winning entry will be photographed and used by our designer to create the new Playzeez backpack. The shortlisted entries will be photographed and displayed on our social media platforms along with the winning entry. Other entries may be used by us on social platforms and features in our website Gallery and blog.
• We will not enter into any communication or correspondence regarding the winning entry. We will only be in contact with the winners regarding their designs of the new bag or to gain contact details to deliver the prizes.
• We will not be held liable for any loss or damage, however caused, to any entries, and bear no responsibility for incomplete or delayed entries.
• We reserve the right to cancel the competition at any stage, in extenuating circumstances, or for reasons beyond our control, and we will not be held liable with regards to any cancellation.
• By entering the competition, each entrant grants Playzeez perpetual license to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, mechanically or electronically on any media worldwide (including the internet) regarding the entrant's artwork. All artwork entered will become property of Playzeez and can be used by us as we see fit. Prizes will be issued as compensation.
• Winning entrants shall be used by our design team to create the backpack. Some details of the winning entry may be altered to allow the design fit in with the Playzeez brand and to help aid production.
• By entering the competition, the parent/guardian confirms and warrants the child’s or children’s artwork that has been submitted:
o Is their own original work; (We understand the younger age group may need some aid with their artwork, but we hope the vast majority of the design will be their own work)
o That all copyright, and any other intellectual property rights in the artwork photograph are vested in the child and they have not assigned, licensed or disposed of or otherwise encumbered any of their rights in the artwork;
o Does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party in respect of the artwork. By entering the competition the parent/guardian confirms and warrants that they have the permission of those pictured in the artwork. If any, or where the artwork pictures any persons under the age of 18, they have obtained the consent of that child's parent or guardian for the photo to be published and used by Playzeez as contemplated by these Rules of Entry.

There is no charge to enter the competition. However, all materials for the production and submission of artwork, in all forms, must be provided by the parent/guardian.

Privacy Notice:

We at Playzeez will use your personal information for the purposes of administering this competition, informing you if you have won and if so, issuing your prize. Names and ages of winners will be detailed on our social media channels and our website and will be included alongside the winning artworks where published, exhibited or used in any press/marketing material. Your personal information will be properly safeguarded and processed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018. The competition complies to all GDPR regulations and all information received will be handled in accordance.
